Meet Kubson - our extreme renaissance man! He can do tricks on any board - skate, kite, wake and.... record it all from a bird\'s eye view with a drone. Jakub Klusek - Deputy Leader of the Marketing and Design Department, talks about his trip to the USA, his beginnings in skateboarding and how he ended up at Techramps years later. What are your favorite projects or initiatives within the Techramps Group? Can you pick one that has a special place in your heart? There have been quite a few, but one project is particularly memorable for me. It was the photo-video realization of the ROAMFurther Athletics parkour room , which we had the opportunity to design and produce together with FlowParks. Question for 1000 points - where is it located? In New York City! When I found out that we could do promotional material from a place that is so unique, I couldn\'t believe it myself! Unfortunately, there wasn\'t much time for the tour itself, as we spent all day on the set, but I still had a chance to see the big city up close. I even managed to see the vantage point on the Empire State Building. My dream was to take a photo from a drone there, but unfortunately the equipment had an accident during the shoot, so I will definitely return there someday! \"Techramps chose me! You can say that my fascination with the company had its beginning when a small skatepark appeared in my hometown, Starachowice.\" There is always time to do some pull-ups! What are the most important factors to consider when designing recreational spaces such as wakeparks, skateparks or flowparks? It seems to me that the most important factors to consider when designing are the location of the facility, sizing for the population of the city/town, and the demand of the community. What are your favorite skateboarding spots or wakeparks? Where to start developing your passions? I think any place is good to start. I started skating at the local market, because there was the so-called unphased cube - that is, smooth and with a straight profile. The skatepark in my hometown in Starachowice, was built when I already had some skillets. The facility consisted of basic elements like a quarter, bank, grindbox and handrail. This is enough to start riding and learn basic tricks, but the more opportunities such a facility provides, the faster and faster kids learn new/better tricks. Favorite homespot is the skatepark in the Millennium Park in Krakow, and as for the Wakepark it is Kryspin. \"Skateboarding drives me to continue my work related to skatepark design,\" he says. Heelflip by Kubson. Outside of work, you are an active athlete and filmmaker. Can you tell us about your passions such as dieskorolka riding, snowboarding and calisthenics? How do they influence your work? In terms of physical activity, I love to do any board-related sport - skateboarding, snowboarding, kiteboarding, wakeboarding and many others. This year I managed to try Wake Surf, which was something totally new. Every activity I escape into allows me to relax mentally and take my mind off reality for a while. Skateboarding drives me to continue my skatepark design activities, while snowboarding gives me a sense of freedom. Calisthenics used to be a huge passion of mine. These days I focus more on strength training. I needed a change, but in the summer I like to pop out to the nearby Flowpark and do some pull-ups (laughs). Is there anything you would like to pass on to young people who dream of working in extreme sports? ...I think it\'s that they should never stop dreaming. Dreams are there to be realized. If you aspire to something then you are capable of achieving it! Snowboarding is one of Kubson\'s many passions. Why did you choose Techramps? I think it was the other way around - Techramps chose me! You could say that my fascination with the company had its beginning when a small skatepark appeared in my hometown, Starachowice. As a 17-year-old, I had the opportunity to participate in community consultations with Techramps in Wąchock. As a local skate community, we tried to change the concept of the skatepark completely. Instead of a concrete facility, a skatepark made of steel was to be built. Unfortunately, at the time we were not able to convince the officials. Bogdan, who at the time was a designer of concrete skateparks and worked for Techramps, and Piotr Nowak aka Kondor, or CEO of Techramps, appeared at the meeting. After the meeting, I had a chance to talk to the designer about my scrims. At that time I stated that as soon as I come to Cracow to study (that was the initial plan), I would get back to him and maybe he could screw me into the Design Department! In reality, it looked completely different. I had lost Bogdan\'s number in an old phone, and in college I was catching up on odd jobs. Constantly watching the company\'s doings, I found an ad for an internship for the Sales Department. I immediately sent in my resume, hoping for a response. Two weeks passed and I was invited for an interview. The story may sound a bit abstract, but that\'s how it flew! Thank you for the interview.
